DURATION: 45 minutes
The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened many underlying systemic inequities, particularly in healthcare and education, for working-class communities of color everywhere. It has also challenged traditional assumptions regarding access and quality priorities in education. Using local and national-level examples, this session analyzes education inequities amplified by COVID-19 and problems with the tools used to address them. The presenter will focus specifically on the digital divide and child care crisis in Pierce County.
