Northwest Education Access
Danika Martinez is Program Director of Northwest Education Access. She has been with NWEA for nearly 9 years, having also worked on staff as an Education Advocate and Program Manager. She completed her undergraduate and graduate work through the University of Washington’s School of Social Work, with an emphasis in Community-Centered Integrative Practice, and has worked with youth and young adults in a variety of settings throughout her career. She was raised in the Lower Yakima Valley and attributes her passion for education equity to her family who instilled the value of education as a tool for change. She has the privilege of working with young people in their education journeys every day, as well as supporting NWEA’s program staff of leaders in education. She serves as a board member for the Morales Memorial Scholarship through Grandview Dollars for Scholars.
