Janelle Atkinson-McClave


Janelle Atkinson-McClave is an Olympic swimming finalist who, after graduating from the University of Florida, spent 12 years coaching at NCAA Division I universities. Her experiences as a multi-racial female, both as an athlete and as a coach, led to pursuing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion work where she is dedicated to improving racial climates and opening up dialog about race within youth communities. As Collegiate Experiences Lead for Dupont-based Truclusion, Janelle empowers youth-based organizations and schools as they remedy systemic discrimination through open conversation and interventions. An experienced facilitator and consultant, Janelle’s refreshing and encouraging presence has organizations exploring the impacts of their policies before they even know they have started. Janelle is also the head trainer and liaison for the international organization Diversity in Aquatics’ Youth Antiracism Fellowship program.
