Tacoma Arts Museum
Victoria Miles is the Expanded Learning Opportunities Coordinator at Tacoma Art Museum. Miles is a black feminist, womanist, writer, storyteller and student of abolition from Detroit, Michigan. Her work focuses on finding and creating language and spaces for darker skinned black womxn to candidly speak about ourselves, our lives and our sovereignty. Her work is rooted in black feminist politic and ethics of honesty and radical love. The work she does is informed by navigating life as a lower income, queer dark skinned black woman. Miles’ personal passions are creating and holding space for black queer and trans folx. As well as creating spaces that center black children, encouraging them to dream of new worlds. Miles holds a B.A in Race and Gender studies and Sociology from the University of Washington.
