DURATION: 45 minutes
Access to transportation options determine access to services, opportunities, and community. Black, Indigenous, and other people of color are disproportionately limited in their transportation options due to systemic racism in housing, economic opportunity, and infrastructure. Youth of color, particularly Black youth, often have their mobility further restricted for many reasons, including racial profiling and harassment. Teachers, administrators, and youth come together for this session to discuss advocating for mobility justice in order to impact academic access and success.
